New Student Round Up - August 8th, 2022
Attention all 6th grade & new students! Meet staff, tour the campus, and learn important info for the new school year! The Round Up runs from 9am-12pm and is $15. Online registration is open from July 1st-25th on the IRMS eStore.

2022 Summer Reading
All students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade at Indian Ridge Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year will read ONE book during the summer and take a test on that book at the start of the school year. Click the link for a list of all books.

Register 2 Ride: Register for 22-23 Bus Transportation Today!
All current or eligible students using bus transportation for the upcoming school year must register for a bus assignment. Register by June 15, 2022 to guarantee a bus seat on the First Day of School. Click the link above to register now.

Increased Security Measures at BCPS Sporting Events
BCPS continues to enforce increased security measures at all District sporting events taking place on campus. Spectators are not permitted to carry backpacks or bags inside event venues, except for diaper bags. Clear plastic bags no larger than one gallon in size (approx. 10x12) are permitted. Face coverings must be worn by all visitors/vendors at indoor events and are encouraged for employees/students. There is no re-admittance. Click the link for the full District memo.

Important Traffic Notice from Davie PD
This is a reminder that all traffic laws must be obeyed including the no stopping, standing, and parking signs posted along Nob Hill Road. Warnings have been given for the past week and starting immediately the Davie Police Department will be conducting traffic enforcement which will result in citations being issued.

Mental Health Lessons
In 2019, the State Board of Education passed a mandate for schools to provide instruction to students in grades K-12 related to mental health, drug abuse and misuse, and human trafficking. Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is providing a high-quality curriculum, provided by Rethink Ed, to our students that is designed to encourage student interaction with relevant topics and build the confidence to make more positive, healthy choices.

Moment of Silence
Recent legislation requires that all schools observe a moment of silence at the beginning of the school day. As a class, we will participate in the moment of silence during first period. The legislation states “in today’s hectic society too few persons are able to experience a moment of quiet reflection before plunging headlong into the activities of daily life."
