• Robotics Team - Panther Bots 🤖

    Mission:
The PSE Robotics Team mission is to bring together diverse individuals and break common barriers to create an inclusive environment within the world of STEM.

    Description:

The Park Springs Elementary Robotics Team, also known as the Panther Bots, is an introduction to robotic engineering and computer science. Robotic Engineers are responsible for designing, testing, and building robots. Students in robotics work together to design, build and program robots. They later compete alongside other Robotics teams in a variety of game-based engineering challenges. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.

Panther Bots is also proud to take part in the Girl Powered initiative which is intended to bring together diverse individuals and break common barriers to create an inclusive environment. Park Springs Elementary School Robotics Team is committed to creating a diverse cultural where all learners are empowered and more importantly welcomed.

    STEM

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM curriculum blends those subjects to teach 21st-century skills. Robotics provides a multifaceted array of technologies that support STEM education. For several years’ robots and robotic engineering have been revolutionizing the way humans live. From vacuums to military equipment, robots can be found in our everyday life and are now capable of performing extraordinary tasks like performing surgery on humans or saving the environment by catching invasive species. STEM is visible in schools across the world. However, many students deter from participating in STEM academics, seeing it has too challenging or unexciting. The study of robotics inherently relates to all facets of STEM, and when students learn through exploration, it increases motivation and desire to succeed.
