Dear Westchester Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! This year marks 50 years for Westchester and I couldn't be more proud. I am thrilled to have our halls and classrooms filled with the energy, curiosity, and laughter of our students once again.
This year, we are embracing a very special theme: "The Great Kindness Challenge." Throughout the year, we will be focusing on the power of kindness—how it can brighten our days, strengthen our friendships, and make our school community a better place for everyone. We will learn, laugh, and grow together, and I am excited to see the wonderful ways our students will rise to this challenge.
As we embark on this new school year, I want to remind our students to be mindful of our school rules and to always treat others with kindness and respect. Let's work together to make Westchester Elementary a safe, welcoming, and joyful place for all.
To our families, thank you for your continued support. Please remember that all good days begin with a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast. These simple routines set our students up for success, helping them to stay focused and energized throughout the day.
Should you have any questions or concerns, my door is always open. I look forward to an incredible year ahead, filled with learning, laughter, and the joy of being together.
Sincerely,
Melissa Geraine, your proud Principal
