    Dear Liberty Elementary Families:

    Welcome to the Liberty Elementary STEM Museum Magnet School website. We hope you find many useful resources here and continue to periodically visit to learn about upcoming school events, programs and recognitions.

    The Liberty Teachers, Students & Staff are celebrating reaching many 2017-2018 goals:

    * Earned President’s Merit Award from MSA as 3rd best magnet school in the country!

    * Presented Congressional Recognition during visit by US Congressman Ted Deutch

    * Expanded into Year #5 of STEM Museum Magnet $12 million grant

    * Earned Magnet School of America National Magnet School of Excellence Award (2016 & 2018)

    * Completed amazing Grade K-5 STEM Museum Exhibition Nights

    * Earned Golden School Award for 2000+ hours with volunteer program



    * Expanded technology in all Grade K-5 classrooms

    * Approached 1:1 technology ratio of laptops/iPads/desktops to students

    * Met Class Size reduction of 18 students in Grade K-3 and 22 students in Grade 4-5

    * Increased Grade 5 Science FCAT proficiency by 7%

    * Increased Grade 3-5 Math Learning Gains by 16%

    * Maintained 3 years of consecutive Grade 3-5 ELA Learning Gains of 8%

    * Maintained 3 years of consecutive Grade 3-5 Math proficiency by 8%

    * Increased School Grade points by 14

    * Use SMART Bond funding to purchase new marquee, new cafeteria sound system, new 40’ flat screen TVs for every classroom, new chairs and a new production system for our media center

    We’re very proud of our accomplishments and have already set new, ambitious goals for the 2018-2019 school year. Our staff is very excited to begin the new school year with the theme “Get Into the Game!” Our mission remains “To prepare our students to become critical thinking problem-solvers who will compete in a global society by facilitating an engaging & challenging learning environment in which they work cooperatively to gain real-world experiences through a rigorous curriculum including the application of science, technology, engineering & mathematics." We look forward to working with our students, families, PTA, community and Partners in Education to make this year, a very special year for Liberty Elementary STEM Magnet School.
