Welcome Morrow Patriots
Morrow Elementary 2024-2025 Beginning of Year Newsletter
We are extremely excited to welcome all our Morrow Patriot scholars and families to our community
of learning for the 24-25 school year. We are proud to announce that Morrow Elementary continued
the upward trend in student achievement as measured by the 2024 Florida Assessment of Student
Thinking (FAST) PM3. I want to thank all staff members for all the challenging work in helping to
improve student achievement. Our theme this year is:
Morrow Patriots Accelerating to Excellence, Realizing Their Genius and
Building “A” Strong Foundation for Academic Success. At Morrow Elementary, we continue the PATHS (Positive Attitude, Treat others with Respect,
Honorable, and Stay Safe) to Success. We are proud to serve you and look forward to a year of
positive relationships in our learning community. Our dedicated team is united to empower ALL
learners to become academically proficient, providing them with tools for College and Career
Readiness. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning community where
every student will have access to grade-appropriate assignments, explicit standards-based
instruction, authentic engagement, and teachers with high expectations for each learner.
We believe that every student and family are authentic partners and should have real opportunities
to shape the experiences students have in school, receive accurate and accessible information about
students’ progress, and have a legitimate role in the decision-making process. We will continue to
foster strong partnerships between our families and the community as this is essential to the
success of our scholars. All families are encouraged to take an active role in their child(ren)’s
education by participating in our school activities, attending parent/teacher conferences, and
staying informed about the academic progress through regular communication with teachers. Our goal is to provide the most up-to-date information available to our Morrow
stakeholders. Please review the essential information on the next page regarding our procedures and
upcoming events. In addition, you may explore the website for updated information.
