Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Community Members, and Stakeholders,

As your principal, I am honored to be a member of the Pembroke Lakes Elementary School community.   In collaboration with our staff, parents, and community, I am committed to lead our school toward another successful school year.

Under the state’s new rigorous Accountability System, Pembroke Lakes Elementary School achieved grade “A” status for the 16th year.  Congratulations to our students, families, teachers, and staff for their continuous dedication to high academic standards, effective instruction, and a positive learning environment resulting in high student achievement outcomes.

At Pembroke Lakes Elementary, our staff is highly qualified and provide our students with a quality education.  Driven by our School Improvement Plan Goals, we implement initiatives that guide our students toward College and Career readiness through rigorous, standards-based, differentiated instruction, and 21st Century skills.  As stated in our mission, we focus on creating a collaborative and critical-thinking environment, driven by technology and communication, in order to prepare our students for success in tomorrow’s world.

In order to accomplish our mission and to address the needs and interests of the whole child, we attend to the social and emotional well-being of our students, and provide many extracurricular activity opportunities including: Chorus, Math Club, Student Leadership Council, Environmental Club, Safety Patrol, Technology Club, and Robotics.  Our weekly specials include Art, Music, Media and Physical Education.  In addition, our PTA conducts many exciting family events throughout the year.

I sincerely believe in a school environment that is collaborative in nature and draws on the strengths of all stakeholders, in striving to improve student learning.  I invite you to be part of our school community, where there are numerous opportunities to participate.  Working as partners makes a difference in the lives of our students.  Join us in inspiring our children to achieve future goals and success!

I am always eager to work with you to support your child’s progress and success in school.  I invite you to contact me at 754-323-6950, if there is anything I can do to assist your family.

Please continue to visit our website regularly for resources and information.  Follow me on Twitter @proudprincipalw or sign-up for Remind at for updates throughout the year.  I am thrilled to work with such an exceptional group of students, teachers, staff, families and community members.

Let’s make it another great year!
