Mrs. Marsha M. Wagner
Dear Parents, Community Members, and Stakeholders,
Welcome to Pembroke Lakes Elementary! I am so pleased that you have chosen to be a part of the Pembroke Lakes family for the 2020 – 2021 school year. In collaboration with our staff, parents, and community, I am committed to lead our school toward another successful school year.
Pembroke Lakes Elementary School has been an “A” school for 17 years. Congratulations to our students, families, teachers, and staff for their continuous dedication to high academic standards, effective instruction, and a positive learning environment resulting in high student achievement outcomes.
As a Microsoft Showcase School, we strive to establish classroom environments that mirror real-world collaboration through student-centered learning in order to empower our students to become successful, self-directed, lifelong learners that are prepared for tomorrow’s world. At Pembroke Lakes Elementary School, we focus on classrooms that are thinking-rich spaces where knowledge is constructed through collaboration and critical thinking. We engage students, by design, in our learner active and technology infused classrooms. Our instructional practices are designed to provide the best educational experiences for each child through a variety of opportunities.
We take pride in our holistic approach to education. We tend to the social and emotional well-being of our students, and provide many extracurricular opportunities including: Art Club, Broward Math Competition Team, Chorus, Debate, Environmental Club, HOPE Club, Peer Mediation, Pelican Pals, PLETV, Recycling Club, Safety Patrols, Student Leadership Council, and Vex Robotics/Technology Club. Our weekly specials include Art, Media, Music, and Physical Education. In addition, our PTA conducts many exciting family events throughout the year.
I sincerely believe in a school environment that is collaborative in nature and draws on the strengths of all stakeholders, in striving to improve student learning. I invite you to be part of our school community, where there are numerous opportunities to participate. Working as partners makes a difference in the lives of our students. Join us in inspiring our children to achieve future goals and success!
I am always eager to work with you to support your child’s progress and success in school. Please contact me at 754-323-6950, if there is anything I can do to assist your family.
