Principal's Message

  •  Merideth Weiss Schnur

    Welcome Heron Heights Families,

I am overjoyed to be your new principal and feel honored to be serving this amazing zone! I have been working in Broward County Schools for 17 years in various capacities and spent the last eight years as an assistant principal.  I am excited to move my career to a new level at this beautiful school!

I cannot wait to meet your children and form relationships in the community.  Children will always be my main focus.  I love kids.  I enjoy being around them, make it a mission to know their names, and want to have relationships with as many as I possibly can.

It is my responsibility as the lead learner of the building to not only keep your children safe, but to foster an environment where they love coming to school and leave both academically and social-emotionally stronger.  Teaching children to take leadership opportunities in the way that works for them, think outside of the box, and be good humans is important to me.  As a mom of three, I know the importance of sending your child to school and knowing that they are safe, loved, and being academically challenged and I promise to provide this to all of my families as your new leader.

I have an open-door policy and look forward to working alongside you to provide your children with the best educational opportunity possible.

    Your Lead Learner,
    Mrs. Jennifer McGreevy
