Before and After School Child Care

The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:
- an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
- a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
- a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

Program Overview
YMCA of South Florida, Private Provider Approved by the School Board
The Y’s Youth Development Afterschool Programs focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement. They are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need youth have to feel connected and supports in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other.
Activities and Services Offered:- Project Based Learning /STEAM
- Y-Fit using CATCH curriculum
- Social Skills using various curriculum
- Literacy Activities
- Family Involvement Initiatives
- Academic enrichment through homework help and technology
We make every attempt to work alongside and collaborate with the schools.

Specialized Program Overview
Private Provider Approved by the School Board
Before and after the school bell rings, children in our on-site program are given a safe environment to boost academic skills and develop healthy habits that will carry them throughout their lives, all under the guidance of caring adults.

- Arts and Crafts

- Small Ratio
- Hands-on STEAM-based Curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)
