Before and After School Child Care

The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:
- an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
- a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
- a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

YMCA of South Florida Private Provider Approved by the School Board
YMCA of South Florida. The Y’s Youth Development Afterschool Programs focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement. They are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need youth have to feel connected and supports in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other.
The Y Experience takes afterschool programming and summer camp above and beyond the quality standard using evidenced-based components:

- Y-Fit using CATCH curriculum
- Social Skills using various curriculums
- Literacy Activities
- Family Involvement Initiatives

Parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application online at browardschools.com/basccPlease note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s waitlist.
