Before and After School Child Care

    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

    In our elementary after-school programs, numerous students face challenges in reading at their grade level. Our initiative aims to support them by offering daily
    tutoring sessions encompassing cross-curricular Language Arts lessons. Additionally, we focus on character development through a tailored curriculum
    designed by Firewall and PATHS. Moreover, our program integrates STEAM-related project-based learning, which includes engaging science experiments, artistic
    projects, and other activities.

    Online Application

    Parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application for Firewall Centers online.

    Please note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s waitlist.

    Our Program is based on a Sliding Scale Fee, but all fees can be waived, thanks to The Children's Services Council of Broward.
