Dear Palm Cove Elementary Families,

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Welcome to the 2024 – 2025 School Year! It is my honor and a   pleasure to lead and serve as the principal of this great learning community; I look   forward to continuing to support the students and staff as we strive for greatness! I hope   everyone had a relaxing and fun summer break. This year, Broward County Public   School’s theme is “Believe, Empower, Achieve: One Broward!”. As a school, we will be     infusing these three concepts in all that we do. Our school’s theme is Level Up…   Challenge “A”ccepted. This year, we will Level Up to our goal of becoming an A -rated     school!

 I would like to welcome back our returning families and welcome our new families to   Palm Cove Elementary! Whether you are joining us from another school in the District, or have relocated from another city, state, or country, we are excited to share with you all   that PCE has to offer! PCE is a special place for all children! Our educators, support   staff, and education partners are ready to welcome everyone back to what will be our “   Level Up” year.

The dedicated staff at PCE has been working tirelessly for the opening of a brand-new school year. We are finalizing classes, engaging in professional learning, and setting up welcoming learning environments. This year promises to be a year filled with a variety of opportunities that will be challenging yet rewarding for all players. We promise to Level Up in Safety and Security, Student Achievement, Effective Communication, and all other areas that will help PCE to rise to the top.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our coaches and players on a stellar 2023-2024 school year that led us to maintain our B rating. Our B was earned with lots of effort and hard work. We earned 60 of the needed 62 percentile points to garner an A, missing it by only 2 points! I could not be prouder of all stakeholders for helping us to reach such wonderful success. My staff and I are committed to Leveling Up and taking the challenge to earn our A! Additionally, I’m proud to announce that our 5th grade students increased 19 percentile points in Science proficiency, from 2023 (40 percentile points) to 2024 (59 percentile points)! We have lots to celebrate and be proud of here at PCE!

Mark your calendars, Open House will be held on September 4, 2024, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. During the opening session, parents will have the opportunity to meet essential staff and hear more about our school. During the classroom visit, your child’s teacher will present an overview of grade-level curriculum and activities, daily schedules, digital resources, and expectations for the school year. Additional information regarding Open House will be forthcoming.
