Bayside Clubs at Manatee Bay
We are excited that you are considering Bayside Clubs at Manatee Bay. Bayside Clubs is an Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). Bayside Clubs provide students with the following:
- Opportunities to develop socially through engaging activities that develop and strengthen character, leadership skills, and social
- Participation in multiple forms of co-curricular activities involving the common interests of club members.
Parents MUST register on campus and make payments at that time through the eStore. Registration is in the cafeteria, enter through the side door that is used for gate pickup. Staff is available to help with the registration process. Please bring your child’s 06# and a credit card for payment. **If you make payment in the eStore and you are not present for registration, your payment will be refunded and your child is unable to attend clubs.**
Days and Times of Club Meetings
The Spring Session of Bayside Clubs begins on Monday, April 4th, 2022, and ends on Thursday, May 26th. Every club meets from 2:00 – 3:30p.m. The Drama Club meets on Thursdays beginning January 20th and ends at 4:30pm. Club sessions will not be made up or refunded in the event they are canceled due to COVID-19.
Eight-week club sessions are $140 per child. There is a 10% discount for additional siblings, SBBC employees, and children that attend MBE 2.0. Payment is made online through the eStore on the day of registration. There are limited spaces for discounted clubs. First, come, first served. CHECKS AND CASH ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Students are dismissed from class to the cafeteria on their club days. MBE 2.0 students must go to aftercare and will be sent to clubs after attendance. For all other students, Bayside Clubs begin at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Vital and other teachers will stay with the children until the club sponsor arrives. Each club will have a check-in and check-out notebook. Upon the students’ arrival, the teachers will take attendance and mark the students absent or present on the attendance sheets. If your child is absent from clubs email Jaime.Vital@browardschools.com and you child’s teacher(s). Students will be released only to adults listed on the student’s Bayside Clubs Registration Form; this is the information entered through PDMS. Students, who are not picked up at the end of club meeting sessions- 3:30 p.m., must be picked up from the front office. Parents will be charged an additional $15 fee if this occurs.

Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.
