Elementary, middle, and high school students working at their group levels in a club
  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

Afterschool Enrichment Clubs: All clubs are open to students in grades 3-5 unless otherwise noted.

The students in this club will be introduced to community mentors, provide opportunities to serve in the community as well as on the school campus. This mentoring program enhances their interpersonal skills in the areas of communication, self-esteem, and home life success. At the end of each year, it is our hope that the students will have developed stronger personal, social, and academic skills.

  • Safety Patrol

In order to educate our students about civic responsibility and to assist students to learn safe and orderly behaviors in the hallways, Park Lakes Elementary trains select students as role models.  These students from the school's Safety Patrol.

To be selected for this role, students must have outstanding behavior, display good character, and maintain good grades.

The Safety Patrol assists other students by reminding them of the rules for behavior in the hallways and reporting safety concerns to staff. The students learn to share responsibility for their school and take pride in their assignments.  The Safety Patrol team is trained by the school's Guidance Counselors and security staff.
