Principal's Message

  • John VetterSilver Ridge Community,

We have ventured more than halfway through the school year and we are excited about the learning that is taking place at our school.  Our teachers work diligently daily to make sure that every child gets the right lesson at the right time.  With interventions happening during school and in after-school camps, we expect to see great end-of-year results.
Our PTO has been hard at work this year planning events and creating family engagement activities.  We hope to see you at one of the many chances to bring your children and be part of the Panther Pride that we have for Silver Ridge.  Families should check email each Friday as the administration sends out the "Friday Focus" to keep our families informed of both PTO events and school events.
As reported at SAC and through the Friday Focus, we are expecting construction here at the school.  Our shade structure has been ordered through an approved vendor named "KorKat" and we look forward to the progress on our primary playground.  We are also looking forward to the pavilion being repaired and painted soon.  As improvements continue, we will keep our community up to date with progress.
A very special "thank you" goes out to every family and the many students from our local middle and high schools that have helped with our campus cleanup efforts.  This effort will continue twice per year as we re-plant and re-mulch the butterfly gardens and flower beds, remove the non-native species, trim back overgrown shrubbery and keep up with the playground areas.  It is wonderful to see kids and parents alike at school on the weekend helping to keep our campus in pristine condition.  Look for the summer date coming soon.
