Assistant Principal's Message

  • Message from the Assistant Principal, Ms. Angie Moodliyar-Jones

AP Jones  I am honored and excited to be your Assistant Principal for the 2018-2019 school year. I look forward to serving the teachers, staff, students, parents, and community of Thurgood Marshall Elementary.

I have worked in education for the past 23 years. I taught in South Africa for 6 years, 7 years at Hallandale Elementary as a third-grade teacher and 10 years at Griffin Elementary as an Assistant Principal. The last school year, I successfully completed my program to be an Intern Principal.

I am passionate about education and take pride in my commitment to the needs of all stakeholders and the learning environment. I strongly believe that every child has the potential to bring something special and unique to this world, every teacher has the potential to cultivate and prepare our children for a global society, and every parent wants their child to excel in school. Working together as a team, we can achieve great things.

I look forward to working with you to help maintain the high standard of work that is happening at Thurgood Marshall. I am so proud that the school has moved up a letter grade because of your dedication and effort. We will continue to strive harder to close the achievement gap and increase proficiency in all academic subjects.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or comments. My door is always open.

     Sincerely,

    Angie Moodliyar-Jones

    Assistant Principal
