Assistant Principal's Message
Dr. Deborah L. Brown
Dear Plantation Family:
My name is Dr. Brown and I am honored and excited to serve as your Assistant Principal. As we all continue to adjust to what has become our new normal, we welcome back many of our families back on campus. I would like to reassure you that the administration, faculty, and staff at Plantation Elementary remain committed in providing a first-rate education for each and every student on our campus. Our theme this year is Game On, Level Up. We want to ensure that all of our students grow by leaps and bounds this year after such abrupt interuptions to our normal school year. We are so excited to see everyone back on campus face-to-face this year.
Parents please be reminded that we are following all safety protocols to ensure that our staff and students are safe and healthy. Should you visit the school for any activities or meetings, you will need to follow the protocols as well. Please be sure to check our website and any information sent home from school about upcoming activities and safety protocols. We are looking forward to a year of academic excellence and success.
We encourage each of you to remain active in your child’s education. You are your child’s first teacher, so it is important that we keep the lines of communication open. You can reinforce the skills introduced in school by working closely with your child’s teacher. Please continue to check your child’s backpack, agenda, canvas page and homework on a daily basis. If we all work together with a common goal to help our students succeed, we can really make a difference in the lives of our students. We also welcome your participation in our monthly School Advisory Council Meetings (SAC), our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and various activities throughout the year.
I wish you all a happy and healthy school year.
Deborah L. Brown, Ed.D
