Assistant Principal's Message
Dr. Deborah L. Brown
Dear Plantation Family:
My name is Dr. Brown and I am honored and excited to serve as your Assistant Principal. As we all continue to adjust to what has become our new normal, our school year will certainly be filled with many firsts. I would like to reassure you that the administration, faculty, and staff at Plantation Elementary remain committed in providing a first-rate education for each and every student on our campus. Our theme this year echoes our commitment to our students. It states, “It takes a team to help scholars dream.” Our team will be working with you every step of the way.
We will be introducing new technologies and programs as we continue to evolve our approach to education. We began this new school year with so many unknowns, but please know that we are looking forward to a year of academic excellence and success.
We encourage each of you to remain active in your child’s education. You are your child’s first teacher, so it is important that we keep the lines of communication open. You can reinforce the skills introduced in school by working closely with your child’s teacher. Please continue to check your child’s backpack, agenda, canvas page and homework on a daily basis. If we all work together with a common goal to help our students succeed, we can really make a difference in the lives of our students. We also welcome your participation in our monthly School Advisory Council Meetings (SAC), our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and various activities throughout the year.
I wish you all a successful school year.
Deborah L. Brown, Ed.D
