Greetings Team Plantation:
Parents, Guardians, students and community of Plantation.
Welcome to the 2023 school year. I am elated to start my 8th year serving as the proud principal of Plantation Elementary school! The theme for this year is “The magic never stops and learning never ends”. We are also on “A” Mission.
I’m excited about the upcoming school year. Plantation Elementary scholars fared well on the new FAST assessment this year. Fifty-six percent (56%) of our fifth graders were proficient on the FCAT Science assessment. This is the highest score in the history of this assessment for Plantation scholars. This was achieved through the hard work and dedication of our staff, students and parents.
I would like our stakeholders to know that we are striving for excellence and aiming to keep moving up. My goal has not waivered and that is to make Plantation Elementary an “A” school.
Plantation is a Sprouting Stem Museum Magnet; our students engage in project-based learning on various themes throughout the year. These projects culminate in a Museum Night where students can showcase their projects. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone during this event.
We are aware that you have a choice on where you can send your child to school, and I am honored that you choose to entrust your child to my staff and I at Plantation Elementary.
Communication is very important to us, so feel free to contact your child’s teacher or administration with any concerns.
Looking forward to an awesome school year with you.

Educationally Yours,
Judith E Pitter,
Principal.
