As we embark on the 2023 – 2024 school year, I want to welcome you back to Charger Nation! We are committed to preparing students to be College and Career Ready by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and drive to make it in the 21st Century.  I look forward to working together with students, staff, parents, and the community to enable our students to reach their full potential.  

It is with much excitement that I announce that this year Hallandale celebrates 50 years of educational excellence! As principal, I am proud to serve this community while honoring the legacy and traditions of Hallandale since its inception in 1973. Throughout this school year and during our homecoming week, we will host several events to celebrate the legacy of Hallandale Magnet High School. 

At Hallandale Magnet High School, it is our vision to prepare students to be college and career ready by making learning engaging, accessible, and applicable! As we welcome the incoming freshman class of 2027 and returning students, we will also continue to offer a variety of pathways for students to excel, from our Cambridge International AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) program to our award-winning Magnet Programs.  Students will be afforded the opportunity to receive college and career-ready opportunities that will prepare them with 21st Century skills.   

Additionally, we want to encourage all our students to participate in clubs and activities such as the 5000 Role Models of Excellence, Latinos In Action, and Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders. We also invite our parents and community members to partner with us by monitoring their student’s academic progress, attend School Advisory Council meetings, and become a member of our Parent-Teacher Association (PTSA), or volunteering your time at our school.   

I anticipate this year being an amazing year! I look forward to serving this community and ensuring your child is afforded every opportunity to succeed! As a school community, I know we will accomplish remarkable things and exceed all expectations. I look forward to a spectacular 2023 – 2024 school year!
