    Principal’s Message

    Greetings Hallandale Chargers,

I want to welcome you back to Charger Nation for the 2021-2022 school year! We are excited to have the opportunity to provide high quality learning opportunities for students in this amazing school community. It is with great anticipation that I look forward to working with each of you to continue the pride and traditions of the Mighty Chargers.

At Hallandale Magnet High School, it is our vision to prepare students to be college and career ready by making learning engaging, accessible, and applicable! As we welcome the incoming freshman class of 2025 and returning students, we are committed to addressing the academic and social emotional needs of all students to enable them to reach their highest potential. Through targeted learning pathways, students will be better prepared to succeed in tomorrow’s world and beyond.

This year we will continue to offer a variety of pathways for students to excel, from our Cambridge International AICE program to our award-winning Magnet Programs.  Students will be afforded the opportunity to receive college and career ready opportunities that will prepare them with 21st Century skills. Additionally, I am pleased to share with you that our teachers and support staff are eager to re-engage students in an inviting and rigorous learning environment. We are committed to addressing the needs of the “whole child”. Programs such as our 5000 Role Models of Excellence, Latinos In Action, and Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders serve to provide social emotional support critical to student success.

Parents and community members, I encourage you to become an active member of the Hallandale High School community. There are several ways in which you can help by regularly attending the School Advisory Council, becoming a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), or volunteering your time at our school.

Without a doubt this year will be an amazing year, because I look forward to serving this community and ensuring your child is afforded every opportunity to succeed! I believe that, “Together We Charge!” As a school community, I know we will accomplish great things and exceed all expectations. I look forward to a spectacular 2021 – 2022 school year!

    Educationally Yours,

    Principal Howard
