Fred Sykes, WM PTA president, shares “ I signed up for this program at my job called Dollars for Doers and I listed Wilton Manors as my Volunteer non-profit organization. Now with all the hours that I put in at the school I also put them into my company volunteer website. What I didn't know is that the company actually sends the Non-profit a check according to how many hours I worked with the organization. With that being said FPL has sent Wilton Manors a check for $350 for my hours worked from January to March, a total of 77 hours. I'm not sure how often they write checks to organizations, but it seems to be quarterly.

Kiwanis has played an integral part in supporting our school and service-learning projects for many years. They have provided much-needed school supplies, worked with our Helping Hands program, sponsored and supported our K-Kids Club, Service Learning, Honor Roll awards, Terrific Kid Awards. No matter what we need they find a way to support us.
