  • “We cannot do great things; we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa

Michelle Chirichella has devoted an astonishing 40 years to both the New York and the Florida education system. Ms. Chirichella earned both her Bachelor's in English Education and her Master's in Guidance and Counseling from Queens College, City University of New York. She began her journey as an English teacher at Newton High School, which is still considered one of the most diverse schools in the country. Later in her career, she relocated to South Florida where she served as a Guidance Director of a 6th-12th grade institution and has had the opportunity to counsel students from both Broward and Palm Beach County. Ms. Chirichella also spent 4 years counseling students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School as both a trauma counselor and a general guidance counselor.

Ms. Chirichella joined the College Academy family in the summer of 2022. Her passion for aiding and guiding gifted students through their secondary and post-secondary endeavors has enabled her to create a safe space where students are encouraged to “just be a teenager” amid the academic pressures they endure. Ms. Chirichella also manages to keep the students focused and on track for graduation by encouraging them to attend office hours with their professors, going to the Academic Success Center for tutoring, and helping the students with their college applications and college essay-writing.
