    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

    The Rites of Passage (ROP) program provides a supervised academic and social emotional enrichment for Crystal Lake Middle School students. ROP offers a plethora of age-appropriate activities and monitored homework time. Students are afforded opportunities to complete homework with assistance from a certified teacher, optimize communication and team-building skills by engaging in structured activities that enable students to work collaboratively with their peers and promote positive self-image.

    Community Reconstruction Inc, / Rites of Passage (R.O.P.) Summer Camp Private Provider Approved by the School Board 

    Community Reconstruction Inc.,/ Rites of Passage (R.O.P.) Summer Camp offers field trips, life and social skills development, academic enrichment and physical
    fitness activities that enhance our year-long school programs, giving our youth an opportunity to bond and grow. The R.O.P. program is a life changing
    experience.

    • Arts and Craft,

    • Local and out of town free field trips

  • Specialized Program Overview

    Community Reconstruction Inc., / Rites of Passage (R.O.P.) Summer Camp, Private Provider Approved by the School Board 

    Rites of Passage (R.O.P.) is Community Reconstruction Inc.'s Signature Program. This school-based, year-round program for middle school youth delivers life-skills training and tutoring.  Skills Training is delivered in a group format by life coaches, (utilizing evidence-based curriculum), who serve as advocates for youths and address behavioral and academic concerns, in real-time, during school hours, alongside and in parallel with the School System. 

    Activities and Services Offered:

    • Case Management 
    • Financial assistance 
    • Stem activities
    • Guest speakers 
    • Indoor/outdoor activities 
    • Mentorship 
    • Linkage to other community services based on need.
