It is hard to believe that the first quarter of school is behind us, and the second quarter of school is upon us. Our Broward Schools Walk In, Log in, Learn is in full effect and we have transitioned fully from our eLearning Phase 1 to our eLearning Phase 2. We want to thank everyone for their flexibility and continued support as we navigate uncharted waters.
We are so proud of our family involvement this year, despite our Virtual World. We have enjoyed you participating in our virtual activities like our Virtual Storybook Parade. We also had our first Chipotle Night which was an amazing success. Please continue to join us in our virtual endeavors. We have a very special opportunity for parents to join in on the fun by sharing their career experience via video for our upcoming Virtual Career Day. We anxiously await the chance to learn about the careers our families are involved in.
I am honored to serve the staff and families, bringing my twenty-eight years of educational experience to this amazing school. I am dedicated to working along-side all stakeholders, to ensure that the students of Riverside Elementary, “develop into well-rounded students with the ability to contribute to society and envision a better future.”
I am excited to continue our school-wide theme. This year our theme continues to be Kindness Starts with Me! #RSE is Kind! This theme fits perfectly with our Social Emotional Learning and Mindfullness activities students participate in daily. As the saying goes, in a world where you can be anything, be kind.
I am passionate about finding the brilliance in every child. I believe that there is always a way to help a child find success and that it is essential that we motivate children to discover their talents and gifts so that they can have the future of their dreams. My door is always virtually open to families and community stakeholders. I look forward to this partnership because I know working together makes all the difference.
There are two great ways to begin working as a team in our school. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and School Advisory Council (SAC) is a great way to share in the decision-making process. Even just becoming a member of our PTO is a wonderful way to support our school community. Please call our office staff to learn about participating in either of these organizations.
Please take the time to follow our school on Twitter @RSERocky and Like "Riverside Elem Coral Springs" on Facebook. Also, receive information for Riverside Elementary right on your
phone and through email by ensuring you have updated information as part of your child’s record. We utilize the Parent Link System to provide updates as needed, and also to provide weekly school specific information.
Please know that I am here to serve the Riverside Community and look forward to a successful school year together!
