School Improvement Plan (SIP)

  • A School Improvement Plan (SIP) containing specific objectives and action steps for achieving Florida's educational goals is required for all schools. The SAC has the primary responsibility for monitoring the implementation of the annual SIP. The SIP must be approved by the School Board.

School History

  • Oakland Park History PictureOakland Park Elementary opened on January 6th, 1926. 
    History: The core of Oakland Park Elementary School, built-in 1925 and still in use, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The school was originally built for grades one through five but was limited to grades one and two in one room with one teacher, and grades three and four in another room, taught by the principal.
