Broward County School Board Policy does not permit elementary students to transport medication to or from school. If your child needs to be administered any medication during the school day, an Authorization for Medication form is required. This form must be filled out and signed by you and your child's doctor and returned to the school office before any medication may be administered. Authorization forms are available in the office. Children may NEVER have medication, prescription or non-prescription, in their desks or backpacks. Authorizations are good for only twelve (12) months. Medication must be in its original container and be properly labeled. Parents are responsible for bringing to school and picking up from school any authorized medication.
