WELCOME TO THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

    Dear Sanders Park Elementary Families,

On behalf of the staff at Sanders Park Elementary, I am excited to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year! I am thrilled to be welcoming your children back to and the full reopening of our campus and face-to-face learning. The safety, health and well-being of staff and students is of the highest priority and we will continue to implement safety protocols and process throughout the school year. Our commitment to providing students with the best learning experience and academic excellence is stronger than ever and is reflected in our 2021-2022 school-wide theme “SPE Superheroes – Where Learning is a B.L.A.S.T!” The BLAST acronym stands for B – Building, L- Lifelong, A - Academic, S – Scholars, T – Today. Our dedication and tenacity toward student excellence will continue to grow and remain unmovable.

Sanders Park Elementary is a Communication and Broadcasting Magnet School. We are proud of the excellent educational opportunities we provide to our students, including specialized instruction in Communications and Broadcast Journalism. Students kindergarten through fifth grade experience a rich curriculum that includes debate, public speaking, research, broadcasting, and journalism. Please call if you are interested in the program and would like a personalized tour.

We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education and this is MOST important now more than ever. We greatly appreciate the support and encourage all our families to become more engaged in the Sanders Park Elementary community. Your attendance at School Advisory Council (SAC), PTA, school events and even volunteering is needed as we continue to strengthen the home-school partnership. It truly does take a village!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for any assistance you may need. I look forward to another great year and welcoming families to campus in-person. Thank you for your support as we continue to provide your children with the best educational experience.
