Elementary, middle, and high school students working at their group levels in a club
  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

All 4th and 5th grade students prepare for and perform in a December holiday-themed concert!  All preparation and performance take place during the school day. 3rd Grade students sing together for a different mini-performance each year.  Additionally, very musically motivated 4th and 5th graders may be selected to audition for the Florida All-State Elementary Music Ensembles or Broward County Elementary Honor Choir.

  • Florida Future Educators of America Club

The Florida Future Educators of America Club (FFEA) provides a forum for students to become aware of career opportunities in education and nurtures their interest in teaching as a career. This club provides students with opportunities to participate in experiences that develop the qualities and skills essential for successful teaching.  Students are placed in a Kindergarten or first grade classroom for 30 minutes a week.  During that time, the students serve as an aide or tutor to assist the teacher.  Duties can include working with students individually or in a small group to complete skills work, practice on iReady, AR, or other academic programs, or assisting the teacher with clerical work.  Students are encouraged to lead by example and be representative of Harbordale’s core values – respectful, responsible, and kind.

  • Peace Rangers

Harbordale's Peace Rangers act as school-wide peace ambassadors. They participate in tasks such as: WHBD morning announcements, greeting students in the morning, welcoming new students, carrying out school-wide kindness activities, lunch bunches, peer mentoring, and so much more! The spread kindness, optimism, and happiness around campus and lead the way to PEACE!
