    Dear Pines Lakes Families:

Welcome to our Panther Family and the 2021-2022 school year!  I am so very excited to welcome ALL our students safely back onto our campus The staff and I have worked diligently to be ready for our boys and girls to return

For those of you who know me, you understand my top priority has always been, and will continue to be, student safety and school security.  More than ever, I acknowledge how important it is for our students to feel safe and secure. Our staff are trained in all the necessary protocols and procedures to ensure this. As parents, you can be assured that we are prepared to continue serving our students and families with the outstanding care and compassion we are known for.

As a parent myself, I recognize how important it is for our families to be involved in their child’s education and will support you in doing so. We also need your help in order to continue providing the excellent education our students deserve!  I invite every parent to consider volunteering at our school as much as your schedule permits.  Make sure you visit www.getinvolvedineducation.com, or visit our school to become a registered volunteer.  Our PTA Board has great things in mind for our families, but we cannot do it alone!

We provide several ways for you to stay informed about Pines Lakes.  We most often communicate via recorded phone messages, which is why it’s so important to make sure you provide us with current contact information. In addition to our website, you can expect to receive notices through emails, monthly newsletters, printed flyers, student planners and the school marquee.  Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter - @sasseprincipal so you can see all the exciting things happening at PLE!

Each year, our staff creates a learning theme to serve as a central focus and tie into our curriculum.  This year, we are packing our bags and prepared to travel with a “Passport to Success”.  We are looking forward to an adventurous year of learning with our students!

No matter what challenges we face this coming school year, the staff and I are ready and willing to serve you.  Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to do so!

Stay safe, be well and I look forward to seeing you soon!

     Mrs. Susan F. Sasse, Principal
