Principal's Message

  • Tracy Lockhart-TalleyGreetings Gator Community!

On behalf of the entire faculty, staff, and student body of Henry D. Perry Education Center (HDPEC), I would like to welcome you to what will be an amazing year.  It is with extreme excitement that I anticipate the return of the HDPEC Family.

Over the past two years, HDPEC has been transitioning to a career and technical academy. Our mission is to foster a learning environment that aligns the interests of students to college preparatory or career pathways in support of their post-secondary aspirations. Although we faced a devasting pandemic last year, our work to create additional pathways for our students continued.

As a career and technical academy, we will continue to afford students opportunities to accelerate and recover credits subsequently graduating with their cohort.  HDPEC’s commitment to teaching and learning has led to an increase in the number of graduates year to year.  I am certain that our wrap around services, social and emotional curriculum, individualized counseling, academic support, integration of extra-curricular activities and student clubs are reasons for our increases and successes.

Finally, I am looking forward to a productive school year encompassed with opportunities for our students to be great. I am here to serve you with excellence and great pride. “Let’s Get It! Let’s Go Gators! Back to Basics with Educating Our Students!

    Educationally,

    Tracy Lockhart-Talley
    Principal
