Dual Enrollment
The Dual Enrollment Program at Broward College (BC) is an accelerated program that allows eligible public/charter, private and home school secondary students to take postsecondary coursework and simultaneously earn both high school and college credits, saving both time and money! Dual Enrollment students are exempt from the payment of application fees, tuition and laboratory fees. College courses are offered at BC campuses and centers, including the Broward College Online campus, and at several high school campuses.Good Afternoon Students,
We are excited to announce that Broward College Dual Enrollment is available to qualifying students this upcoming Fall (2022). FALL 2022 Eligible test scores AND completed Recommendation Form are due online to J.P. Taravella High School by Friday, April 22nd . This includes both the student and parent segments.
**Reminder to all Summer 2022 dual enrollment student please email a copy of your completed Summer finalized schedule before May 1st.
If you meet the unweighted GPA requirement of 3.0 but need qualifying test scores, please visit https://www.broward.edu/academics/dual-enrollment/students.html to create a BC account and complete a Testing Voucher Request Form. The placement chart is also listed at this link. Please keep in mind that test scores are only valid for 2 years.
Some Important Reminders:

· Check for pre-requisites and/or co-requisites to make sure you are eligible to take course.
· In the Comment section for students - Note any passing AP/AICE exam scores if you are using as pre-requisite into a course.
· Review both high school and college credit awarded for each course.
· A copy of your finalized Dual Enrollment schedule must be submitted to betty.ammann@browardschools.com AND courtneyr.brown@browardschools.com

Early Admission
Early Admission, a form of dual enrollment, allows eligible high school senior students to enroll in at least 12 credits per term, Fall and Spring, and maintain a college GPA of 2.0 or greater. Early admission students wishing to matriculate to BC will need to submit their final high school transcript showing their graduation date.**For eligibility requirements and How to Get Started, please visit:

Please send a copy of your eligible test scores (ACCUPLACER, PERT, ACT, or SAT) to betty.ammann@browardschools.com AND courtneyr.brown@browardschools.com

IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO STAY INFORMED OF ALL SCHOOL EVENTS AND DEADLINES (EXAMPLES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO -PROM, GRADBASH, CAP & GOWN, GRADUATION/ REHEARSALS, BRIGHT FUTURES/FAFSA, SCHEDULING, FIELD TRIPS, ETC.)**Registration for classes FALL 2022 Registration is TBD at a later date

For students participating in Dual Enrollment, please note that you must have 7 courses (not including your Personalization period). If you are taking 1 course off-campus, you will have 6 classes at JPT plus your personalization period (unless if Junior or Senior Privilege). If you are taking 2 courses off-campus, you will have 5 classes at JPT plus your personalization period (unless if Junior or Senior Privilege). Keep this in mind when selecting your course times!!
For students participating in Early Admissions, please remember that you must maintain at least 12 college credits during each semester (Fall and Spring) to participate in this program. The maximum approved credits is 15.
