Dear Harbordale Parents,
We are extremely excited to welcome you to the start of the 2024-25 school year and look forward to continuing many of our traditional activities. We anticipate this year to be very busy, filled with many student activities, exciting family events and challenging and rigorous Florida State Standards for our students and teachers. Student academic success is the main goal of every staff member. Our major focus this school year is to build on Harbordale’s many successes and accomplishments as we strive to continue our positive academic performance and meet individual learning needs. We feel confident that through our team approach and the hard work of students, teachers and parents our goals can be achieved and surpassed.
We encourage you become part of our school family by joining Harbordale School Association (HSA), our terrific parent organization. Under the leadership of our president, Mrs. Valderrama, HSA allows many opportunities for all parents and families to become involved in your child’s education and plays a vital role in the success of our students. Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer and participate in the many activities and events planned throughout the school year. Additionally, for 36 consecutive years, Harbordale Elementary has been awarded the prestigious Golden School Award for parental and community involvement! Your time and energy is needed, encouraged and always appreciated.
Communication is key and vital to our success! We encourage all parents to bookmark our websites, Harbordale at harbordale.browardschools.com and HSA at harbordalhsa.com. Much of our school information will be distributed through the use of our websites, Class DoJo, regular e-mail messages, parent-link call out system and the new district parent portal: FOCUS.
We look forward to another very successful school year and the opportunity to work together with our families to provide the best learning environment and educational experiences for all our students. Let’s make this the best year ever!!!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Kashdin, Principal Lauren Gordon, Assistant Principal
