PTA President's Message
Dear PTA Family,
Another year starts and another year of great memories to be had. The Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) would like to welcome you to Embassy Creek Elementary School. Our school has had great success with our high academic standing, enthusiasm and volunteer programs. It is because of our wonderful volunteer participation that we continue to achieve these high levels of accreditation.
Embassy Creek has received the Five Star Award and the Golden School Award for many years which is given to schools with exemplary volunteer programs. We have over 600 active volunteers, outstanding teachers, dedicated administration and staff and, of course, amazing students. Because of the energy that everyone so graciously gives, our school provides an atmosphere of learning and fun – a great foundation for growth.
The PTA is proud to provide this student planner to all of our students. This tool allows parents the opportunity to communicate with their child’s teacher on a daily basis. This planner will also be used to send home PTA and school-related information that we are sure you do not want to miss. We encourage each of you to become an active volunteer. It is by volunteering that we continue to move in the right direction. Our school is a vital extension of your family and only because we all care, do we have such a “special place” for our children to go everyday. Parents provide the most influence on their children’s educational success and throughout life as well. Only by volunteering can you guarantee that your family values integrate with the standards and values of the school that your child is attending.
The PTA asks for your help and appreciates those who have given their time already. Over 30 years of research has demonstrated that when you get involved, the child who benefits the most is your own. So as Stephen Covey says, author of the book, The Leader In Me, “Begin with the end in mind”. Let’s begin this school year knowing at the end of it, we’ll walk away and share a job well done.
Information about membership and how to register to volunteer is sent home in the beginning of the school year. The bi-weekly newsletter, The Flamingo Flyer, and the school website also provide information about the many activities and programs that take place at our school. You do not want to miss these opportunities to make a difference in your child’s life!
Again, welcome to the best school in Broward County. Together, we can inspire greatness and make this school year memorable for all.
