Principal's Message

    I am extremely proud to serve you as your Principal at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School.  Having the opportunity to influence young people and the chance to mold their lives in a positive manner is truly an honor and a privilege.  Lauderdale Lakes Middle School is recognized an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School where we are committed to providing our students with a middle school experience that includes rigorous and relevant curriculum across grade levels and opportunities for students to engage in a wide variety of innovative programs in an environment that is safe and welcoming for all.  We believe that every child deserves a 21st-century education and by meeting the needs of this generation, students are given a better chance in our ever-growing global economy. 

    It is our vision to prepare today’s students to compete in tomorrow’s global market. This can only be accomplished if we work as a team and partner together to ensure that students attend school every day, they arrive on time, and are prepared to learn. I am truly honored to be the Principal of Lauderdale Lakes Middle School.   I am always here to support you with any questions or concerns.  I look forward to serving you and your students this year.

    Mrs. Slesinski was born and raised in Middletown, NY. As the daughter of a college professor and guidance counselor, the importance of education was evident. In 2001, Mrs. Slesinski graduated high school to begin her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY, where she was a two-sport collegiate scholar-athlete. After graduating in 2005, Mrs. Slesinski moved to Fort Lauderdale where she began her teaching career at Nova Middle School. In 2008, Mrs. Slesinski graduated with her Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University.  During Mrs. Slesinski’s time at Nova Middle School, she assumed various leadership roles and graduated with her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University in 2015.  In 2015, Mrs. Slesinski was appointed Assistant Principal at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School.  During the 2018-2019 school year, Mrs. Slesinski was provided the opportunity to serve as the acting principal of Norcrest Elementary School in Pompano Beach.  Due to her leadership accomplishments at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School and Norcrest Elementary School, Mrs. Slesinski received a promotion and now serves as the Principal of Lauderdale Lakes (MYP) International Baccalaureate World School.
