International Affairs and Business

  • In the International Affairs & Business (IAB) Magnet Program, students take three years of high school level foreign language classes. Students can choose to enroll in either a French, Chinese or Spanish class.

Along with learning to speak, write and read the foreign language of their choice, students are taught to appreciate the culture of the language they are studying through dance, music, song, dining at authentic restaurants and attending various culturally related field trips such as museums, plays and touring historical cities.

Students are required to also take a business class where they will learn the effects domestic and foreign affairs have on our global economy. Our IAB students also participate in a variety of academic competitions and have consistently finished in the top 5% in the county and state when competing against middle and high school students.

In addition, students can earn two high school foreign language credits.
