  • Ms. Suzanne Keneth, Assistant Principal, Grade 6

Welcome to Pioneer Middle!   Entering 6th grade is very exciting, you have completed elementary school and are beginning the next leg of your educational journey, middle school.  You have many new teachers, support staff, and other members of the Pioneer family who are excited to get to know you. They will help you gain experience and understanding about how middle school works. You’ve got this! The new school year brings many new and exciting opportunities.   Maybe this will be the year you join a club, try out for a sport, or become involved in student government.

I, along with your teachers and support staff, will work hard to ensure you have an amazing school year while focusing on your academic, social, and emotional growth. This is not a task we can do alone; it is important to do your part as well.  There are many people available to assist you. Do not hesitate to ask for help from your parents, teachers, guidance counselor, or myself, that is what we are here for.  We are all in this together and together we will have an amazing year!

I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you!  Please remember to reach out if you need anything. I am here to help you be the best you can be!

    Sincerely,
Suzanne M. Keneth, 6th Grade Assistant Principal

  • Ms. Lasondria Young, Assistant Principal, Grade 7

    Dear Eagle Families,

It is my privilege to introduce myself as the incoming Assistant Principal at Pioneer Middle School. My educational journey spans over 27 years, encompassing roles such as Math and Science teacher, Department Chair, Science Coach, and Intern Assistant Principal. I am excited to support Mr. Pappas in his leadership to ensure an outstanding academic year for our students.

My academic background includes a degree in Biology from Dillard University and a Nursing degree from Barry University. I further honed my leadership skills with a Master's in Educational Leadership, also from Barry University. On a personal note, I am the proud mother of Kevin, my greatest source of joy and support. He is a Nova High School graduate, UCF alumnus, and is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at Saint Leo University.

The middle school years are a critical phase in a student's development, marked by significant growth and self-discovery. Alongside our dedicated staff, I am committed to equipping our students with the necessary skills for success, establishing a strong foundation for their high school years and beyond. Our mission is to prepare each student for their future academic and professional endeavors while making a meaningful, positive impact on their lives.

I look forward to working with you all. Let’s Go Eagles!

    Best regards,

Ms. LaSondria Young, 7th Grade Assistant Principal

  • Mr. Paul Baugh, Assistant Principal, Grade 8

    8th Grade Family,

First and foremost, I want to welcome all 8th graders to another year at Pioneer Middle School, and I cannot wait to meet all of you. For students that are entering Pioneer for the first time, I look forward to assisting you anyway I can. Upon entering sixth grade, many of you were anxious about middle school. Now, you have made it to the last year of middle school. Many of you will be most likely to be anxious this time next year approaching your ninth-grade year. However, we must focus on the current year. As administrators, we must focus on your safety and academic rigor for each of our students. Additionally, I would like your eighth-grade year to be the best at Pioneer Middle. For us to achieve these goals, I want our 8th grade student body to represent Pioneer in areas of behavior and academic achievement. In addition, high participation in athletics and social clubs. Again, welcome back to the best school in Broward County.

    Sincerely,

Paul Baugh, Grade 8 Assistant Principal
