Dear Lloyd Estates Families,
Thanks for visiting our website. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your children to Lloyd Estates Elementary School, home of the “Tigers”, for the 2023-24 school year! The Lloyd Estates teachers and staff have an incredible and exciting year of learning planned for all the students. We appreciate you choosing our school to educate and nurture your child. We are honored to have this opportunity to make this year a unique and valuable experience. We are committed to academic excellence. Our theme for this school year is “It’s No Mystery We Are Learning at Lloyd Estates”. This theme was selected because our test data is showing growth, but there is still a lot of work to do. We are constantly reviewing our data and planning to use instructional content and practices that will aide in moving our students to the next academic level. We cannot do this without your support and active involvement.
It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children. We are looking forward to our collaboration in providing a safe and nurturing environment as well as a challenging and diverse curriculum. You are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.
Our mission is to develop young citizens who understand the world around them, value the perspectives of others, communicate and collaborate with a culturally diverse population and understand the impact they can make on local and global communities. For that reason we will continue to differentiate the curriculum and structure your child’s day to maximize their understanding and engagement with the state standards. We will also utilize RtI, response to intervention, to meet the needs of all our students. Every child will be provided a quality instructional experience as well as a balanced curriculum including the use of technology.
Ms. Shawn Allen, Principal
