Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Families,
Welcome back to Seminole Middle for the 2024-25 school year. I am the extremely proud principal of Seminole Middle School and cannot wait for the exciting year ahead! As always, it remains my mission to do everything possible to help support our students and community and to work every day to add to our success. Last year we saw incredible learning gains across all grade levels and we are so proud of our students for their incredible successes.
During the 2023-24 school year we were the District CHAMPIONS in Boys Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling AND the Academic Brain Brawl Competition. Our students excelled in the classroom and beyond and the Panther PRIDE was strong! We look forward to even more successes during the 2024-25 school year!
Families, I am a strong believer in the importance of open communication. Please know that I am always available to speak on the phone, email or to meet in person. I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have or, just to introduce yourself. As always, safety and security is extremely important and accordingly, we will be doing monthly safety drills, along with our monthly fire drills and bi-annual tornado drills. Parents and guardians will be notified about the safety drills via Parent-Link. Additionally, please remember that all visitors must provide a valid photo ID to enter the premises and must enter through our single point of entry.
School hours are from 8:10 AM to 2:40 PM however and supervision is provided between 7:10 AM and 3:10 PM, and for 30 minutes after school-sponsored events.
As always, I continue to be dedicated and devoted to the success of all students. I am privileged and honored to serve as the principal of Seminole Middle School and believe that it takes everyone working together to achieve success. I am looking forward to seeing our returning students and families, and in meeting our new students and families. Please remember, I am always available to offer support and to focus on what is best for our students and community.
It's a Great Day to be a Panther!
Respectfully,
Emily A. Gonzalez Principal Seminole Middle School
