    Dr. Carletha Shaw-RolleGIVE THANKS!

During a recent meeting, the staff and I participated in an activity called, A Penny For Your Thoughts. Each of us took a penny and read the year. We reflected on the age we were that year, and we recalled and shared a memorable experience in our life around that time.

The purpose of this activity is to engage in deep reflection about where we have been, the struggles we have overcome, the triumphs we have experienced and gratitude for the journey. We are working with our students to reflect on their lives in the same way by celebrating their success milestones and recognizing that productive struggle is also a part of the journey.  Give thanks!

    You are Invited!

Please join us for our Inaugural Spaghetti Dinner on Tuesday, November 15, 6:00 PM in the Lanier-James Education Center cafeteria. Each family that attends will receive a Thanksgiving Turkey.

In order for us to adequately prepare, we ask that you RSVP to Mrs. Baskerville or Mrs. Castro at (754) 321-7350 or  by emailing them at joycelyn.baskerville@browardschools.com or laura.castro@browardschools.com. Please RSVP no later than Friday, November 11.

We give thanks to our students and their families. We thank our parents for trusting us with their children, and we are working hard to provide a school for them where second chances are a first-class opportunity.

    With a servant's heart,
