Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

Art Club

Art Club explores a variety of artistic activities, tools and materials extending the classroom experience by participating in art contests, special exhibits and in-depth group projects.

Chorus Club

Students will learn proper singing techniques as individuals and as an ensemble and will have the opportunity to sing in a holiday concert at the end of the club session.

Kindness Club

The Kindness Crew is a group of 4th and 5th grade students who meet to plan and implement kind acts around the school. This club meets in the morning.

Morning Announcement Crew
Sponsor Name: Tracie Brooks
The Morning Announcements Crew is a group of selected 5th grade students that deliver the day's news. We meet every school morning around 8:10 am in the media center and stream our program through the stream Vue application throughout the school at 8:25 am after the second bell. Each student is required to have a media release to be in the club.

Musical Theater Club

Students have the opportunity to learn musical and theatrical techniques, culminating in a performance showcasing their singing, acting, and dancing skills at a spring concert.

Safety Patrol Club
Sponsor Name: Ms. Green
Dismissal Location: North Car Loop
Safety Patrols help the staff to assist students in grades K-5 to behave appropriately. They make sure that students are sitting down and reading a book silently. In addition, Safety Patrols walk parents who are visitors to meet other teachers for conferences. They also walk the younger students and new students to our campus to their assigned classrooms. Safety Patrols maintain order in the hallways. They also serve as model students to the entire school.

Science Club

Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of STEM challenges while working in a team setting. Club members will participate in hands-on activities & inquiries into science. As well as, exploring gardening and horticulture to learn about the outside world around them.

Yearbook
Sponsor Name: Mrs. Jindracek
Dismissal Location: North bus Loop
The Yearbook Club members will participate in the steps necessary to create Tropical’s yearbook. Areas of work will include the cover and portrait layout selection, photographing school events, page layouts for schoolwide events, proofreading and editing, advertising, yearbook sales and distribution of their final product.
