Principal's Message

  • Principal Schneider

    Welcome Tropical Families!

As we plan for a beginning of the school year like no other have seen in the past, our focus will be to ensure that: every child, every day is finding a way to feel connected, every child, every day is being challenged by new learnings and experiences, and every child and parent, every day knows they have a Tropical Elementary School staff member to support them whenever needed.

Spring of 2020 has challenged staff and students to find a new normal for learning, connected us in new ways, and required us to support each other like never before.

What I have learned through this process is how much more I appreciate our teachers and staff. I also have a greater appreciation for the little things in life-giving a high five, a hug, or being able to laugh out loud with many people around. What I MOST appreciate about the Tropical Elementary School Family is how under circumstances we have never experienced, we are still a learning and caring community.

Normal is such a simple word and it is our goal at Tropical Elementary to not only find our new normal, but to use this time as a learning experience that will forever impact our learning environment. Our school opening may not be “normal,” but our learning will not only continue, but will thrive.

Our school theme this year is “There’s No Place Like Home.” While our students and staff may not be at their Tropical Elementary School “Home”, we are still together in many other ways. In the meantime, remember, There’s No Place Like Home!

All of us at Tropical Elementary School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be a challenging year and one that will bring us together to continue doing great things! I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Tropical Elementary meet their goals and have a successful school year!

    Educationally yours,

     Robert N. Schneider
