Elementary, middle, and high school students working at their group levels in a club
  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Media Club

    Media Club contact: Mrs. Bolivar.

The media club is open to students in 3-5th grade. The students help organize library materials, shelve books, maintain the computer area, and assist with check out. They also have an active role in helping their peers locate books. Students learn how to use the Destiny system to find books. Some of the students are also involved in the morning announcements. When the annual book fair arrives, the students have an active role in helping raise money for books by promoting the book fair. Students share ideas for the library and their love of books during our team building breakfasts held monthly. It is an opportunity for students to take part in cultivating the heart of the school.

  • Play Pals

    Play Pals- Contact Mrs. Rocha

Play Pals is a program that encourages awareness and acceptance of people who are “differently-abled”.  Helping peers promotes self-esteem and sensitivity towards others.  One common characteristic of autism is the inability to develop appropriate social and play skills.  This is the primary emphasis of our Play Pal program.  The “Play-Pal” is paired up with a student/s in the school and taught how to play with and socialize with them.  The Play Pals are trained in listening skills, responding, problem solving techniques, characteristics of autism, and how to interact and “teach” play skills to their peers with autism.  We also take part in several fundraisers throughout the year for the end of the year party, field trip, and the Dan Marino WalkAbout Autism in January.
