  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Student Council

    Activity: Student Council

    The Student Council is a group of students elected by their peers to represent the student body. The Student Council fosters leadership skills, encourages student involvement, and serves as a liaison between students and school staff. Members organize events, address student concerns, and contribute to a positive school environment.

  • Fifth Grade Sustainable Engineering

    Sustainable Engineering Club

    Club: Fifth Grade Sustainable Engineering

    Sustainability Science and Engineering club is a before-school organization being offered to Fifth grade students. The purpose of this club is to engage students in the practice of science through a sustainability lens. Students will practice inquiry-based learning as well as engineering design to question, imagine, plan, create solutions, and develop technology.

  • Fourth and Fifth Grade Robotics

    Club: Fourth and Fifth Grade Robotics

    Vex IQ is an after-school organization being offered to fourth and fifth grade students. The purpose of this club is to engage students in using problem-solving skills through coding and strategic game play. Students will practice inquiry-based learning as well as engineering design to question, imagine, plan, and create solutions to classroom challenges.

  • Norcrest Elementary Honor Society

    Program: Norcrest Elementary Honor Society

    The Norcrest Elementary Honor Society recognizes students for their outstanding academic achievement, develops their passion for service and assists students to obtain the necessary skills to be a confident young leader.

  • Norcrest Elementary School Safety Patrol Program

    Norcrest Elementary Safety Patrol

    What is Safety Patrol?

    Safety Patrol is a student organization dedicated to school leadership and helping to maintain a positive and safe environment for students on campus. Safety Patrol members assist younger students to classrooms, help with dismissal procedures, and monitor school doors or hallways.

    Eligibility Requirements

    In order to be a member of the Safety Patrol, a student must:

    • Be a good role model
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities
    • Maintain good citizenship grades (no office referrals)
    • Maintain passing grades
    • Maintain good attendance (few absences and tardies)
    • Be available for morning and afternoon Safety Patrol Duties

    Safety Patrol Duty Hours:

    Morning Patrol Duty

    • Monday – Friday
    • 7:30 A.M. - 8:10 A.M.
    • Must be at school and at your post at 7:30 A.M.

    Afternoon Patrol Duty

    • Monday – Friday
    • 2:50 P.M. - 3:15 P.M.
    • Must be picked up from school no later than 3:20 P.M.

  • Yearbook Club

    Norcrest Yearbook

    Club: Yearbook

    Yearbook club members will help to take pictures and design the yearbook. Members will have an opportunity to learn how to use a camera and take pictures around the school campus.

  • Tiger Cub Robotics

    Tiger Cub Robotics

    Club: Third Grade Robotics (Norcrest Robotics Cubs)

    Third grade robotics is a group of students that love to create, build and solve problems. The club allows students to use project-based learning and activities to inspire building. Students learn to build machines that they can code and drive.

  • Norcrest Elementary Chorus Clubs

    Tiger Chorus

    Club: Tiger Chorus

    The Tiger Chorus is a performing group for 4th and 5th graders who love to sing, and provides an additional opportunity beyond regular music class for students to learn musicianship, vocal technique, and performance skills. The Tiger Chorus performs two concerts at Norcrest each year, in addition to community performances and participating in the BCEMTA Elementary Honor Choir each year.

    Club Schedule: Mondays 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM (no rehearsal on early release days), concerts as announced.


    3rd Grade Chorus

    Club: Third Grade Chorus

    Third Grade Chorus is a performing group for Third graders who love to sing, and provides an additional opportunity beyond regular music class for students to learn musicianship, vocal technique, and performance skills. Third Grade Chorus begins rehearsals each year in January, and culminates with a concert alongside the Tiger Chorus.

    Club: Drum Circle

    Drum Circle is a group of students who meet before the instructional day to play drums and other percussion instruments together as a group, and gain teamwork, problem-solving, and musical improvisation skills. Drum Circle is an experiential group, not a performance-focused ensemble, which means that the focus of this club is on the experience of drumming and creating together, not performance. Each year, Drum Circle has at least one sharing session, where drummers and their families are invited to come and experience a drumming session together.
