Photo-Mitshuca MoreauIt is with great pleasure to welcome you back for another amazing school year!

The faculty and staff of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Montessori Academy have a commitment to excellence.  We believe that with the cooperation of students, parents, teachers, staff, administration, and the community, we can meet the needs of the whole child.  By working together, we can help each child reach his or her academic potential and be prepared to meet the challenges of a culturally diverse and rapidly changing society.

As a school, we are working to improve third grade literacy rates from year to year.  When students are reading at grade level, there is no limit to their success in future years in school.  With that said, we blew it out of the ballpark with our math achievement data. We reached pre-pandemic levels where our third-grade students are at 69% proficiency!  The school wide math proficiency in the tested grade levels is 50% with 55% of the students making a learning gain.

These are outstanding accomplishments!  I am proud of our students and our faculty for their hard work!  I have no doubt that they will be ready for the challenges that await them. “The future is completely open and we are writing it moment by moment.”—Pema Chodron

Dr. MLK Montessori Academy will continue to provide students with a safe, caring, and engaging school atmosphere that will focus on learning, academic achievement and providing a sound foundation to build upon their educational journey.
