Elementary, middle, and high school students working at their group levels in a club
  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Fifth Grade Recycle Club

The Recycle Club is committed to keeping MLK CLEAN and GREEN!

The GREEN AMBASSADORS at Dr. MLK, Jr. Montessori Academy begin the recycle collection early before school begins. Students write about why they want to be in the recycle club.  Under the supervision of one of our security personnel, the 5th graders wear a special green vest and go in small groups to collect the recycle bins from each classroom. Students know which recyclables are acceptable. Small lessons are discussed throughout the year with a big project on Earth Day, April 22nd.

    Schedule: Every other Friday.
