Principal's Message

  •  Mr. Evans, Principal

    Dear ‘Dolfam’ Family,

Welcome to Silver Lakes Middle School in the 2022-2023 school year! Our staff is refreshed after a summer break and is ready to build up our school culture! Our teachers and staff love our middle school-aged students, and we love participating in the teaching and learning process. Their academic and personal growth during these crucial years of their development is paramount. Parents and the community are a big part of who we are. We love having parents in our school and contributing to our positive school culture.

We are excited to begin the 2022-2023 school year with our student orientations and family Open House nights on September 8, 2022. We are excited about connecting with our students and families. We want to establish and maintain positive relationships with our community, as family and community support make our school even stronger.

We are a close-knit community school. Therefore, it is not surprising that our community calls us the ‘Dolfam’ Family” because they see our school family as an extension of their family. We, on the other hand, want to serve you in times of joy, happiness, and triumph but also in times of challenge, grief, and struggle. Academic learning and growth are our bottom line, yet we also understand that educating students means being attentive to the “whole child” and caring about their social and emotional well-being.

Follow us on our page and visit our website for updated information at We update this page regularly with insights into what is going on schoolwide and in our classrooms. We are a place of learning, belonging, growth, and support for students, families, and the community.

Thank you for being a part of our community and school! Let us know how we can help make your SLMS experience even better! We look forward to hearing from you!
