District Academic Options

  • Advanced Placement
    The Advanced Placement program created by the College Board allows students to complete college-level course work while in high school.  Upon successful completion of course work and corresponding exam, students can earn three to six college credits for each Advanced Placement course.  Credit for Advanced Placement courses varies based on exam scores as well as college and university requirements.     Dual Enrollment
    Broward County Public Schools has partnered with Broward College, University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to provide eligible students opportunities for college courses while in high school.

Computer Science

    Game Development

      • Developers learn Game Theory through the creation of arcade, platform, and role-playing games. Advanced developers can refine their skills preparing them for a world of Virtual Reality. Our students have been recognized nationally. Learn more about our Game Development program.

      Engineering & Robotics

        Panther Preparatory Academy

          • The Panther Preparatory Academy (PPA) is an elite program for students in grades 6-8. Students may earn Microsoft Office certification while engaging in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) pathways and robotics. Learn more about PPA.

          Fire Academy

            • This three-year program prepares cadets for entry into postgraduate fire academies. The cadets also have an opportunity to remain active in the Lauderhill Explorer Program throughout high school. Learn more about our Fire Academy.
