  • Ms. Traci Aveni, Assistant Principal, 6th Grade

    Ms. Aveni Dear young Lyons,
Your aspirations and dreams are in reach and everyone is here to support and help you achieve your goals. The secret is to know what you want, plan, monitor your progress, and make changes when necessary. Be serious about your learning. Surround yourself with positive friends and people who bring happiness and success to your efforts. Everything will not always fall into place the way you thought it would, you will be challenged, but those are the times that you grow and gain strength that will help you prevail in future endeavors.

    Dear Parents,

I believe that all children are gifted with talent. Each individual child has something to offer society and it is our responsibility to locate that gift and nurture it. A “growth mindset” asserts that learning and intelligence can grow with time and experience. I look forward to working together to help our children flourish and ensure that they propel into a bright future.

    LET’S GO LYONS!

As a former literacy teacher and a current literacy supervisor, I  will work with our teachers and community to grow and develop our students to foster a love for reading, listening, writing, and speaking!

I encourage you as parents to allow us to assist you with any needs this school year.  Reach out to us and allow us to hear the voice of both you and your students so that we can continue the Lyons Creek mission to cultivate a positive community of life long learning and self-discovery.
