    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

    Sunshine has been providing quality year-round childcare programs since 1992 as a not-for-profit 501©(3). Sunshine offers our diverse communities in Broward
    County with affordable after school care programs and non-school day camp programs for winter, spring and summer breaks (including teacher planning days and select holidays). Sunshine currently provides safe and secure quality services to over 2,500 children year-round!

    Please note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s wait list.

    It is the goal of Sunshine Child Programs to provide a safe and enjoyable summer experience for your child. We will offer a wide range of recreational experiences,
    teach the necessary skills to participate and do our utmost to make each day exciting and rewarding while providing a hazard-free environment to play in. Sunshine
    offers safe and secure, academically rich, recreational programs that promote academic and social development through fun, stimulating, enriching activities for the children on our care. These activities are professionally developed by certified educators and are designed to meet the needs of the children in our diverse communities. We offer an atmosphere where children can socialize with their friends, make new friends and feel safe.
