    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

  • After Care Overview

    School Board Operated (SBO) Program

    Our childcare program provides a supervised learning and play environment for the students who attend our school. We offer a wide variety of age-appropriate activities and monitored homework time. Our students also have many opportunities to learn new skills, socialize, and interact with their peers.

    Parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application online at www.browardschools.com/bascc.

    Please note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s waitlist.

    Program Cost 

    After Care $242 + Activity Fee $5

    SBBC/Sibling Fee $230 + Activity Fee $5

    One Hour CHE Staff Fee $60 + Activity Fee $5

    BASCC Registration Fee $30

    Late Pick-Up Fee $15 (per 15 minutes)
