Aladdin, Jr. 2018-2019 Drama club production presented on May 30 & 31, 2019
The Stirling Elementary School Drama Club was founded by Mr. Alvarez and Ms. Trautmann presented on 2015-2016 school year.
Its first performance of
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
received praise from parents and community leaders.
During the 2016-2017 school year, our club took on a production of "Sleeping Beauty," which had more scenes and even 2 musical numbers! This production truly demonstrated our students' raw talent and our ability as a school to put on a complex play. "Sleeping Beauty" even earned Stirling Elementary School the attention of both the Broward Education Foundation and the Hollywood City Commission, which later granted our school's Drama program $1,200 for our 2017-2018 production.
The club took on the challenge of doing a full on musical, which is a first for Stirling Elementary! "Beauty and the Beast" is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, and will surely continue impressing our community.
Over 67 Drama Club students worked on the project back in August 2017. They practiced 14 scenes and over 12 musical numbers with the help of our amazing Music teacher, Mrs. Saintelus.
Many Stirling Elementary faculty, staff, parents, and community leaders contributed to Stirling Elementary school drama club. We thank you for your support!
The Stirling Elementary School Drama Club is open to students in grades 2-5. Students in grades 4 and 5 can audition for main roles, while students in grades 2 and 3 can audition for supporting roles. Auditions are typically in August and September.
